Would you rather be healed by someone who's very slow but will patch up your wounds completely and without leaving any trace, or by someone who's fast but who's still learning and is not very good at all?

I think Kagerou's right. If you're in the middle of a fight, any healing is good healing and you can worry about the details later. Both are useful in different situations.
