[It's not long before she makes her way down to the Wilderness, and as the elevator opens onto Seireitei, she steps out, her eyes widening a bit in surprised recognition.]
[It had been quite some time since she'd been trapped in a replica on the fourth floor, but the sight was unmistakable.]
[She walked forward a bit, letting her reiatsu flare to notify Lin that she'd arrived.]
[ It's when she saw Bastet's face that Lin realized maybe she wasn't going be as happy with being in that place as she had been.
Lin didn't even know what possessed her to check the Wilderness, that morning. Boredom. Hope. Dumb luck. She kept telling herself that there was no way she could have felt there was something for her there when she woke up in her bed at dawn, with Castor sleeping on her chest. And yet...
And yet, even Lin couldn't deny how strong the feeling of being home was. The moment she stepped foot in there, she knew where she was. But... Bastet had run away from that place, hadn't she? Maybe her connection with the white city wasn't as strong as Lin's. Maybe Lin had been stupid thinking she'd be pleased.
Both eyebrows raised, carefully checking the woman's expression, she shunpo'd closer, resisting the weird huge to get down on one knee, and nodded to greet her. ]
[Lin looked anxious as she arrivds, searching Bastet's face as though looking for something. She relaxed a bit, a small smile finally breaking through her surprise.]
I'm fine. I just wasn't expecting this.
[She blew out a sigh, her eyes scanning the immediate area]
I was stuck on the fourth floor...it must be a couple years ago, now. This is where I was.
It isn't dangerous. I don't know how it was a couple of years ago, but now it's safe.
[ How does she know for sure? Well, she doesn't. And Lin is usually very cautious but here she feels stronger, walking through these streets feels natural, and she just generally feels safer than she ever did in the Tree. ]
[She looks around once more, feeling a definite sense of orientation. She may not be able to name where she was, but she definitely doesn't feel lost.]
Inside the city, mostly. I'm not interested in what's outside. Mostly-- [ she points at the hill in the centre. ] --around the white towers. I could recognize a few places, and there are others that just feel extremely familiar.
