It's a special one from home - we use them to talk to the dwaggie horsies~ But you can play music with it, too. I'm not very good at it, alas!

Do you blow into it and hold it straight in front of you, or across it and hols it to the side?

Those are easy to learn the basics, and the school might even have a recorder primer to help you get started. The trick is to keep it from getting shrill.

Hmm! I know a little bit, but since I couldn't join the Cavalry, there wasn't much point in keeping with it. I'll have to take a look around the school next time I escort Her Littlest Majesty to class~
