(no subject)
It was a hockey night for me--my first of this season. Fun times, fun times. And the Pens won--6-2!! They were leading by 4-0 for a while, and I was like "who are these people, and what have they done with my crap-ass hockey team?!" Anyway. Jackman got a goal. And Crosby got not one but TWO goals. And it was Colby Armstrong's first NHL game ever, so it's always cool when you get to see a player's virgin game.
-I sat just 6 rows away from rinkside, which kicked some major ass. I could actually hear the pucks hitting Fleury's pads--Fleury, by the way, made some great saves.
-Hines Ward (yes, kids, from the Stillers) was there tonight. They showed him on the JumboTron. And Hines Ward was wearing a Crosby jersey, haha. Oh, and he was, like, totally sitting, like, 50 seats away from me OMG!!!
-The couple sitting in front of me kept fighting during the first intermission and into the second period, then made up by the second intermission. This was the second sporting event I've been to where a couple fights--the first being at a Pirates game at PNC Park (coincidentally, one of the few Pirates games I've ever been to--including one where I sat near Joe Weinroth, but that's another story) some years ago. That fight was BAD, man--the girl started crying and moved away from her beau. It makes me really, really uncomfrotable when people--especially couples--fight in public.
In other news, I worked today. And it was BALLS. It was sooooo slow, and no one was there (except for homeless people since, well, they're always there).
Robert McNeilly got fired. But Guy Costa is keeping his job. Costa's mother lives one street behind me, and Rich Lord from the PG weote an article about how Guy put up a slew of no parking signs all around her driveway, and it was all controversial, I guess. You can totally spot her house from a mile away now.
Finally, I'm totally saving the Christmas card Bill Peduto sent me!
