LiveJournal Entry: The Twenty-Seventh

For some reason a movie quote from the 80's popped into my head today.

I haven't seen this movie in years, though it is one of my favorites.  The quote is so wonderful; I loved it then, I love it now.  It only really makes sense wrt the scene it takes place in, but just remembering the words delivers the whole package of context - mood, inflection, facial expressions, the conversation leading up to it.  Kinda like "Snakes.... Why did it have to be snakes?"

Here is said quote:

Person A: "Without Trigonometry there would be no Engineering."

Person B: "Without lamps there would be no light."

Do you remember the scene?  Does the exchange make you laugh because you remember the scene?

Name the movie.  The first one to name the movie gets a nice shiny commemorative column of air.
