My secret shame is that I have a crazy mess of a home. So much so that I (and we) only ever have a few people over. Outside of home I've very organized and neat, sometimes anally so - very Metal element, but it's a different story when I get home. The good news is that tomorrow I have the opportunity to organize a little. We're getting a free bookshelf from the dojo so I'm planning on weeding out my books and systematizing them. I want to change! Let's see how far I get.
My kooky Five Element teachers (who are very kind people along with being kooky) are making us read 25 pulses a week, along with the other regular pulses we take each week in the clinic. So now I carry a bunch of papers with me and take people's pulses everywhere I go: school, visits, my Co-op shift, the Tea Lounge, etc. And people love it! When I ask things like, "Did you have dairy today?" or "Have you eaten?" or "Do you have lower back pain?" people give me wondering and awed looks like I'm a psychic. I've had some nice conversations with folks. Tomorrow the laundromat! ("Did you use too much fabric softener???")
