Claire had seen the news and knew what was going on, so she wasn't really surprised. Still, she was concerned. "Yeah, I noticed. But, you know, you can always talk to me, right?"

Lilly sighed quietly. "Did Sam tell you what happened? Because, I uhm, I haven't talked to him since they got back. Logan breaking up with me... I kind of have avoided everyone." She looked at Claire. She wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer to what she was about to ask, but knowing was better than not knowing.

"How much do you hate me for screwing up so spectacularly?"

A lot of her tension drained out of her shoulders. "Thank you," she said quietly. "I'm glad, Claire. With all of this lately, I'm not sure of a lot of things and I was positive I had lost my best friend here after I had already lost my boyfriend."
