All of the cross-cultural musings made
here apply to Blue as well, except the culture balance has skewed dramatically West. Blue uses his Egyptian-ness for flavor and detail alone; he got out of Egypt ASAP and dresses the part, completely assimilated into the Underground but more importantly to the Western world via the fancy suit fetish, the obsession with conspicuous consumption, etc. He's so completely immersed in this modern world that while killing the Pharaoh is still his end goal, he's gotten sidetracked by simply reveling in the Underground - or the lifestyle that comes with being a promoter - and he looks the part. He's the kind of new-generation kid elders in traditional villages despair over. What's happening to the kids these days, really. All grown up and sending others to their deaths in electric cagematch card games. (His comfort with his own sexuality, snobbishness re: sex-related topics aside, is also a part of this embracing of Western culture, as iirc homosexuality isn't recognized by Egyptian law as even existing).
Ironically, Blue is also my best tombkeeper: despite his current relationship with White and his utter rejection of his native culture, Blue's successfully managed to keep anybody from seeing his scars. (Until Seiran, Linner hadn't either. But Linner also killed the Pharaoh. So.)
