Okay, gotta rant. And be defensive.
Yesterday, I posted a link to this cool
Tween Fandom Friending Meme. It was funny and cute and interesting to read what everyone's answers to the meme were, and what shows they liked or missed. But one thing that gradually began to piss me off what a lot of people were putting down as their answer to "mose wince-

But yes, on Jamie-Lynn--I didn't think she got pregnant on purpose at first either. My mom and I were talking about it a little while after it had come out, and I brought it up that it was an accidental pregnancy and my mother insisted it wasn't (and she isn't one to normally take a very big opinion on celebrities unless she is fangirling or something), that she had planned it and wanted one, and my mother went on to say she understood Jamie-Lynn's mentality behind it, to try and have something in her life she could control. I think she mentioned reading an article on it (or at least that is what it seemed like, since she sounded so sure and refused to believe that it could possibly have been an accidental pregnancy). To be fair, I didn't read the article, but my mother I'd never seen act so sure of something about celebrities unless she had information to go on. So I'm figuring Jamie-Lynn must have mentioned somewhere wanting to have a kid and being excited about it (which I do remember reading her being excited about it). And you're right, had it been accidental I wouldn't expect her to apologize for it, but I guess I still would think she would say something to discourage teen sex or encourage safe sex or something. It would've been a role-model thing to do. But I don't know.
Yeah, I suppose it must be that--things are okay in classic photos, but not in photographic format. Sucks for Miley though, all the badmouthing she got over THAT, especially when it wasn't even her fault since her parents/agent approved it. :( Although I was referring to the "green bra" pictures mostly in this, as I didn't see anything wrong with the Vanity Fair photos either. I thought they were rather artsy and tasteful.
By her, do you mean Miley or Vanessa or both?

Though you are right, she should have encouraged safe sex at the very least. Or a nice "we tried to protect ourselves and it didn't work, so think very long and hard before you do it". kind of thing.
By The people I see commenting on the online photos seem to hate her now though. I was referring to Miley.

Advice on my baseball problem on my blog would be uberappreciated, please?

But yeah, she should've made some point along those lines, accident or not. But then I suppose her life is hectic and crazy enough, I should cut her some slack (I didn't mean to bash her though I'm sure it did come off like I was somewhere in this entry), it just annoys me that Vanessa gets more bashing (or citicism as a role model) on something less life-changing.
Hate her? Really? It's annoyed me because I've barely seen mention of it under the shadow of the Vanity Fair pictures. That's a shame though, because as bad a role model as it made her seem, it did seem like something a typical teenager might do.
XD Baseball problem? Alright, I'll check it out.

Are you on the disney channel livejournal community? Every few days people post pics from Miley's myspace (NONE of them have been really racy like the bra photo or the ones on her supposed boyfriend) and every time they get posted I see stuff like "I'm really tired of Miley trying to be sexy"
...as if normal fifteen year olds don't do this stuff all the time. I would know, I've got fifteen year olds on my Myspace friends list! (Whoa, I'm not creepy, I just have friends of my sister on there and my friend Lowrie is sixteen but I met her at the college theater).

No, I'm not, and suddenly glad I'm not!
But yeah, it's weird she gets that much criticism from actual fans for being a normal teenage girl. It makes her not a great role model, but no worse than any other girl out there. Especially if there's nothing that racy anymore.
I'm a bit surprised though, honestly, that her parents are still letting her on her myspace after that incident. You would think they wouldn't allow her on it anymore after that.

I feel bad for Demi, even though I'm not really a fan. During the middle of all this someone posted some completely tame myspace pics of hers here: http://community.livejournal.com/disneychannel/1611316.html#cutid1
under the title "She's just trying to be Miley" sarcastically and a few people were taking it seriously. Most weren't (as you can see in the comments). And Apparently Selena is the New Miley (as in Miley before she was the "bad" Miley) and will someday head down this same path. It's a really depressing community to be in.
I kind of hate it and the only reason I haven't left yet is for news of Selena and a few others.

Aw, that is a shame (although I'm not a Demi fan either...i've been meaning to write a Camp Rock review actually). And yeah, I've heard that about Selena. The "New Miley" is normally either listed as her, Demi, or Miranda. Which is a bit of a shame for Miley.
Well, there's a seperate group for Selena fans that I'm in that is pretty on top of news for her: http://community.livejournal.com/selenagomezfans
But yeah, doesn't sound like a very happy community.
