I think I need to check into Icon Whore Anonymous, and Feedback Wanted on Disney Essay! :)
I've spent pretty much my whole afternoon going through my icons yet again! I did end up deleting a few of my painting ones, but kept a lot more than I expected I was going to. I deleted some of my older hsm ones too, after finally backing up the userpics I previously had on my HSM Couples post (so now they are in my LJ Scrapbook and have the funny/commentary captions on them that weren't showing up before XD) so I felt less guilty about deleting some of the ones used on there.
I'm at 97 userpics now, but have a bunch of new ones again! From other fandoms of mine which weren't getting represented yet, like some very beautiful CLAMP ones of Suu and her series Clover which are seriously just gorgeous, along with a few other Clamp icons (which will probably change by the time I finish posting this since I'm still going through them). I actually first discovered LJ by looking for CLAMP pictures and all the Clamp icons I've seen so far are really just stunning. Currently looking for a Subaru one, since he made my favorite character list and is the only one to not have one now. The problem is...trying to find one that doesn't have an inner joke or in-story reference so people who don't know anything about the series or CLAMP on my f-list (which i'm sure there are many....you people really need to start reading CLAMP! XD) won't just get confused whenever I use it.
Also today somehow ended up getting even more Luna icons....! (and two HP-related ones) XD I think I have more of her than just about any other fandom! Or she at least is heavily rivaling my hsm ones. I just love that girl too much. I definitely think I have more of her than Vanessa though, which makes me wonder if I should change my default icon (although I adore the one hannah made for me...I just like want a second default of Luna too...XD I guess depending on my mood/fandom of the moment I'd change from one to the other although I'm not that deep into HP, it's probably a matter of time until I do start writing fics for it....and even if I don't, I do love Luna and her many facial reactions. Regardless of my current obsessionXD) Just throwing that out there....(not Evanna really though, Luna...although then again I haven't seen any Evanna photoshoot pictures or anything aside from candids, because I don't think she's had any so none of them are that nice unless she's in character).
Still in a writing mood too, so expect probably a little ficlet from me one of these days...I have no idea what for or what pairing or anything, and I don't want to write the next chapter of my ongoing fics until I have a lot of time to concentrate on it at once (yes this afternoon could be argued as time, but I was procrastinating on reading and I did go out for dinner and kept getting interrupted by a certain suitemate of mine), because stopping and starting up again takes more time and is more frustrating for me (i need to sign up for RSR shifts again, that way I have four hours straight of nothing to do but that! That's how I wrote the first like four chapters of Unlikely). Or maybe just a really short story. Haven't decided what about exactly yet though.
On the note of my Independent project, I think I am going to try and do an extended version of my Metaphorical Disney Essay, exploring hidden themes and subtext subjects in Disney (or just general popular children's) movies and tv shows. XD I'll probably print out the current one for the teacher I have to talk to about it as an example. So people, please read over what the essay has so far and suggest what I should go deeper into or other ideas you have regarding it, and how it can be improved upon and what direction I should go in with it! Please! My meeting with the teacher is the day after tomorrow, but I want to be able to go in with a clear idea of what I want to do with the project, or else I probably won't get to do it. So thanks to everyone who reads it (again for some of you, though it has changed over the past few months with added in sentences, rewording, links, etc) and comments on it (preferably here, but you can comment on the essay's entry as well if that's easier)! I seriously appriciate it. :)
