[the little communicator clicks on without ceremony, but for a long while nothing is written... When Kei finally finishes reading (and reading and re-reading) the article the only line he types is;]

I suppose this is what one would call irony.

[ooc: My notifs aren't working for Kei. Sorry if tags are late. D| ]

Why does it not surprise me at all?

Because we've been here for over a month. It's hard not to get used to these things...

And still no way to take care of anything. Aside from the tape. Which only wards things off.

So frustrating.

...

Whatever exorcisms that used to work before doesn't seem to have any permanent effect here. [not that... Kei can actually fight ghosts, that's what Choushiro is for]

Nothing I know from back home does anything, either.

Might be because I'm not good at this, but I doubt it.

I'm sure there's a way through this. And really... You're no the only one who had problems with ghosts before coming here.

Well, I can't say I had problems with them. They were just an interesting thing to study.

[ping'd!]

So you were studying folklore as well? Or... was it hauntings and ghosts in particular that you were interested in?

A bit of both really. I'm actually an art major, but my friends and I liked studying the paranormal and folklore for fun.

... I see.

I'm sorry you had to experience something like this. Though I suppose this is what we get for getting pulled too deep into this sort of world, isn't it?

It's nothing like they show in movies and videogames, that's for sure. At least in those the character gets something to fight with. The reality is a bit more mind-numbingly terrifying than I was expecting. I guess this is what I get for having bad hobbies.

So did you have problems with restless spirits or angry ghosts where you came from?

Games...?

[it takes a long time before he types a reply] You could say that. Though there are certain 'requirements' that need to be met before they actually... did anything to people.

Yeah, the horror and survival game genre is really popular in the United States.

Requirements? I'm kinda afraid to see an explanation for that. You don't have to, though.

I suppose the sort of haunting and folklore I studied with Mafuyu and Yuu would be a bit different from the ones often found in the Western Hemisphere.

... Have you ever come across an urban legend regarding something called the 'Manor of Sleep'?

Probably, but I tend to branch out into some Eastern lore when I can.

Uh....wait. Does that have anything to do with creepy little girls singing about pinning a priestess? Because one of the girls around here was singing this demented lullaby and it was freaking me out.

Would it happen to start like this-

'Sleep, priestess, lie in peace.
Sleep, priestess, lie in peace.'
