Well then, today is (was?) July 4th, which means that it is (was?) America's birthday. Now, I really have no care for Fourth of July because fft, it's just another day for me, but as an anime fan I must say "Happy birthday Alfred F. Jones!" because now you're what, 234 or something? I don't even bother to remember your age, but ffft. Yay for birthdays for fictional characters.
So today while I was bored and wanted to lurk MangaFox, I happened to stumble upon a very nice find in the yuri filter: a manga adaption of the famous internet thread over at 2chan known as
Husky and Medley. While the art isn't that good and the storyline seemed a bit... I don't know, cliche? it was a good read (then again, I was bored and had nothing to do so I think anything would have been a good read at that time). And it made me giggle a bit, because strangely enough I was listening to the Vocaloid song DixieFlatline made in honor of said Husky and Medley and I thought it was kind of amusing. Said song being
Sweetie x2 sang by Hatsune Miku. Though personally, I really prefer the
Komeru x Saiya cover of it. \o/
In other news... Marching Band is starting to pick up now that it's the middle of summer. Practices are going to be more frequent and I'm doing better with memorizing my music! I mean, the warm ups are pretty easy (save for one or two that I just can't remember that well) and the piece we use to warm up with is also pretty easy. What I'm more worried about, I guess, is the actual marching aspect (or otherwise it wouldn't be called Marching Band, right?) and ahhh. I guess I feel a bit overwhelmed and nervous because sob, I don't have much self-confidence and I feel like I'll be the one to drag everyone else done. At least I've made some friends with the veterans, right? Haha, I think I would've died if I ended up not making friends with anyone. >w |8<). GIMP is all I have and though I do know some basics with Photoshop, I'm not really confident in my schools with it... Ahaha... Man, I don't even use for tablet unless it's for doodling on MSN to spam my friends.
I don't really know what else to say, so I guess I'll just leave it at that. Wow, I think this is the longest entry I've posted yet. Cool.
