Midterms are at least over, although their success rate remains to be determined. Italian Politics was OK (although it was the exact same format as last semester's Comparative Western Systems, so she'll probably grade it the same way and find random points to take off) and History is going to be a crapshoot. Now I have to solidify my Immigration Block 2 paper topic and start writing it today, and pack.

Because tomorrow we leave for Poland. WHAT. According to the itinerary there are 7 lectures, a couple documentaries, some tours, a visit to Auschwitz, and almost no program-provided meals. Bugger. Also, seeing as the shit hit the fan two days ago over some program drama, everyone is going to be shit-talking and back-stabbing and fighting the whole time because we're all sick of each other and people are being epically stupid. We all need to get away from each other, and a week trapped together in Poland is not going to cut it. Blood may flow. I hope it isn't mine. It would sort of taint the whole "visiting another country of my ancestors" thing.

We get back on the night of the 9th and I leave the morning of the 10th for Dublin and London (and my mommy!). Whoops? I will have NO CLEAN CLOTHES by the time I get back on the 19th. In Italy, where the laundomats are expensive and run by extensively sketchy people, this is problematic. However, I am looking forward to pubs and accents and NOT BEING IN ITALY around any of the CRAZY PEOPLE ON MY PROGRAM. Maybe it will even NOT BE RAINING in another country. Novel concept.

Now I am at my internship, eating crackers and about to research for my immigration paper. Another intern just started Monday, but she's Italian and graduated from law school (in Italy there's a mandatory internship after graduation before you can take the bar equivalent), so she's actually useful. I've been preempted.

trips, epic fail, look we're here, exams, packing sucks, today i may kill everyone, the bologna diaries, study abroad
