He's not only a republican but also is (or at least was) a card-carrying Rush Limbaugh fan. As long as we don't talk politics; he's one of my favorite Uncles... but not sure how much that is saying given the distant-nature of all of my Mom's brothers in comparason to Dad's brother-in-law. And when politics ARE in discussion; can have secret childish pleasure of referring to him as Uncle Dick. ;-)

What does he think about Rush's little drug problem? I was reminded of it just the other day when I came across an article about the myth of "accidental" addiction to Oxycontin and other painkillers. Rush claimed that he began taking it for pain and would up getting hooked. Kind of like Ted in 309, you know?

Too funny! I feel the pain of that poor Democrat Mother with two Republican sons. I think I'd need to attend a support group if that ever happened to my kids! Between my husband and myself I think we are safe but it could be a durn recessive trait, hiding for generations before springing forth to spew its ugly conservative froth upon the world...::shudders::
heeheeheee!! And Justin & his coat-walk will Never cease to be funny.viola69April 4 2004, 13:39:15 UTC
It is scenes like that though- that have me impatient for S4 dvds with out-takes and saying little prayers now that we get to see any possible flubs of Randy swinging that coat around. :-)

Trust me. You're not safe. I have an 18 year old son who watches Fox News. I'm debating whether I should keep him locked up somewhere until the election is over.
Man, that is sooo not funny! Bush is such a stooge it's difficult for me to countenance his having any support outside the financially motivated or partially brain dead! I do feel your pain now, teenagers can be such a pack of trouble! Both of mine (16 & 13) are still clearly Bush detractors. There's still time enough before November for your troubled 18y/o to come around to reason... ::crosses fingers::
