[Today, Riku is bored. Bored and curious. What does this mean? Well, listen and find out!]

The Malnosso claim they're trying to find a way back to our worlds, and the experiments are their way of doing it. Now, apparently they're just as stuck as we are ( Read more... )

Trusting those guys would pretty much be the most stupid thing to do in this situation. What have they ever really done for us either way, huh? I don't see how putting us through those lame experiments is going to find us any way home, even if it wasn't such an obvious lie.

Exactly. I figure it's just an excuse, and they do it for sick thrills.

And those missions don't excuse it, either. Sure, there are prizes. So what? It's an obvious trick.

Of course not. Why would we have to do anything for them like those missions? They're the ones that took us here in the first place, so it's just stupid to go along with it.

No matter the prize, I guess.

That's why I haven't done any just yet. Having an item that prevents shifts or drafting would be nice, but I'm waiting to see if it's worth going.

They only started a little while ago, right? Who knows, maybe it's just something temporary. Some new sort of trap or experiment the Malnosso thought up. That much wouldn't surprise me, at least.

Definitely wouldn't put it past them. Heck, it could be an experiment in trust.

An experiment in trust, huh..

Tch. They should already know most of the people here follow them like sheep to slaughter either way.

Funny. Seems like most people around here hate them, but I guess you've got a point.

I'm not so sure. I mean, a lot of people don't entirely trust them, but I don't think it seriously comes down to hate for most people. I think a lot of the people here just generally don't care either way.

Guess after a while, you get used to them, just like the experiments and the drafts.

As soon like the missions too, huh? They could start restricting us more and more slowly, and the people here probably wouldn't even notice until it would be too late.

The foot in the door technique. I wouldn't put it past them.

Me neither. And when you think about it, it's actually a pretty good strategy either way, so I wouldn't blame them for using it.

Plus, they've already tried using mind control to make us more obedient.

Not just to make us more obedient, you know. Sometimes I feel like it's just for their own amusement too, like that time when they made us play out fairytales for no reason.

Oh, amusement's definitely a part of it. Most experiments are too silly to be for anything else.
