[Another day, and Riku's feeling fairly bored. He hasn't had a lot to say over the journals as of late, but hey, it's been a while. And with such an... interesting cycle, he might as well say something.

So, Lucetians, witness Riku as he boredly looks into this magical book and speaks.]So. I think it's pretty obvious that Luceti's got some ' ( Read more... )

[Oh Nagisa definitely knows of someone who hates humans. sob.]

At first I thought it was really strange to have so many different species here... But now I think it's pretty nice and interesting, actually. And the species or race of someone doesn't change who the person is, so... There's no reason to dislike them for that, right?

And your second question, um.. Do you mean if we learned of our future in our world while here...?

Basically. I've seen enough worlds to know that species isn't what actually counts. I've known gods, sea witches, and other creeps who were knee-deep in darkness.

But on the flip-side, I owe a lot to a talking mouse. He stood up for me when nobody else would.

So, I don't think it matters in the long run.

[KH is all about heart, anyway. Oh, Riku.

He pauses for a moment.]

As for the future, that's what I mean.

You've sure seen a lot of different people! I've only seen the ones here but... even then, I can tell that it doesn't matter. Those people are all very kind. Like that talking mouse! I'm sure he's very kind as well.

In that case, umm... I'm not very sure. If something bad were to happen in the future, then I probably would like to make sure that it doesn't happen. Especially if it were to hurt others like my family and friends.

[Though in her case, it's really her past that she'd like to change.]

I think the tough part's dealing with the consequences. Like, if something turns out bad for you, but not for your friends.

That's what happened to me, and two years back, I would've gladly gone back and changed things. Thing is, it would've changed my friends' futures around.

[Ah, Riku. So many complicated questions.]

Y-yeah, that wouldn't be good... I'd be okay with changes happening with me but I wouldn't want to put my friends at risk too. Even if it is just going back to help only them, it can change things for others anyway, couldn't it?

In that case... Maybe it'd be best to not go back and change those things. Instead, just do your best to keep things okay after then. ...I think. S-sorry if I didn't word it right.

[Such a complicated and conflicting question. Hrrmm.]

Think it's better to live in the moment. Learning the future over complicates things. At least, it did for me.

Then yeah, that's probably best.

[A pause.] I wonder if the people that go back home keep their memories from here. Like... I know of someone who came back and remembered his last time here, but... did he remember while he was at home?

[Oh, Nagisa. Now he has to be the bearer of bad news.]

Not exactly. I went home for a while, and I forgot everything about Luceti until I came back.

[...welp. That answers that. Though it's not exactly the best answer she would've liked to hear.]

Oh... really? So... when you come back, you just suddenly remember it all?

Sometimes. Some people come back without memories. It's usually more common, but I've seen a few cases where someone leaves, comes back without memories, leaves again, and comes back with the memories from their first time here and only then.

[Like Rena.]

E-eh?! Really? That must be so strange...

[How is that even possible? This place is so weird sometimes. Really.]

Welcome to Luceti.

[Heh.]

It's definitely strange, but what isn't here?

[That makes her laugh a bit.]

Yeah, that's true. It must be really weird to experience that though. [Not remembering friends here crosses her mind. Yeah that... wouldn't be very nice at all. Yet she doesn't remember Fuuko. Though that's an issue from back at home, rather than in Luceti.]

Yeah. And it's always a drag when somebody forgets.

I can imagine... When that's the case, what do you do? Do you tell them that they were here before and that you were friends, or...?

[Because really, she has no idea what she'd do in such a situation.]

It really depends on who you're dealing with. Some people try to explain everything, but I usually hold off a bit, mainly because just getting used to Luceti takes time. Finding out you were here before? Yeah, it's a lot to take in.
