Well, I'll start with the basics.

A while ago, I said something that hurt someone very close to me. She took it as betrayal, even though I was just venting and didn't think. Now I'm trying to figure out just how to make up for it, since apologizing's not enough.

If apologizing's not enough, it must've been pretty harsh... but, it was a misunderstanding, right? You might have to be patient about how you act, but... maybe tryin' to show how you really feel, instead, is the better way to do it. Everyone can say sorry, but getting someone to understand you, that's a challenge!
