(This was supposed to be posted on Thursday, but for some reason it didn't post until I opened up iJournal. Crazy thing.)
One of my wild releases was caught today!!
Look!! It’s so very exciting. I was going to leave it actually in the post office but it was too small and squishy, and filled with people (I hate being conspicuous) so I left it on a table outside a café nearby. I snuck a look at bookcrossing.com when I was at work, and I couldn’t see it in my “travelling” bookshelf. Worried I’d forgotten to release it properly, and I had another look, and another Bookcrosser had found it! Hurrah! It’s very exciting. I also picked up two books I’d ordered from Amazon (not available here in Australia. For some reason, Australia Post won’t deliver parcels to the TWO post offices in walking distance from my house, but sends everything to Glenferrie Road which is completely out of my way, oh, except the one time they sent something to Auburn, which is even MORE out of my way) and sent another book across to Canada (Rules of Attraction).
Speaking of Rules of Attraction, there is a fabulous review on it’s Amazon.com page:
“I believe that the human race, in general is good not angelic but good. However, this trash should not be created or read by anyone. This is why our values in society have declined. I am an 18 year old liberal colledge student.”
Oh dear. I don’t think I even need to say anything. I really hope that was just a joke entry . . .
