I finished reading "Giovanni's Room" today... it's very moving, but also sad and depressing, ugh. While reading and especially afterwards I began to despise the main character. >_>; And Giovanni, one of the few upright and hard-working people (possibly the only one) in the story ends up miserably... Anyway, here's the summary of the book. I can only recommend it even though my heart did break a little. o_O;
'When David meets the sensual Giovanni in a bohemian bar, he is swept into a passionate love affair. But his girlfriend's return to Paris destroys everything. Unable to admit to the truth, David pretends the liaison never happened - while Giovanni's life descends into tragedy.'
