Oh, yeah. He was a badass.

He might as well have some AC/DC playing in the background. Maybe “Back in Black,” or “Highway to Hell.” Yeah, that was badass. Or maybe the Imperial March. John Williams was a badass, no matter what Dawn said. John Williams was such a badass.

In fact, both of them were such badasses. And the motorcycle was pretty badass, too, though he might have preferred going along the 101 in an actual car. But a badass car. Like a classic Chevy Impala. At least an Impala would have cup holders. He felt kinda bad for throwing out half of his slurped because Spike said they had to go.

Yeah. The two of them in a Chevy Impala, traveling the country fighting demons. Like total badasses. They’d be close as brothers, saving each other, and saving people, with nothing but their badass Impala for a home.

They’d make some badass friends along the way. Like, cool girl hunters, and a cool old guy who’d yell at them but still totally be like their dad. But he’d be a lot clearer when explaining stuff and way more badass than Giles is. And they’d be so awesome at the demon hunting thing that even God would notice them, and they’d be a big part in the whole good versus evil deal. And then even angels would be their friends. Like, maybe there was this one angel, not the Angel, but an angel who helped them, and--

“Andrew, how many sodding times do I have to tell you to knock it off with the bloody monologue?”

“Was I talking out loud again?”

“Yes, and you had to bring the Poof into it this time!”

“Sorry.”

But Spike hadn’t said anything about humming. So, he began to hum the opening chords to “Back in Black,” giving a little shimmy with his shoulders while he kept close hold on Spike’s waist, and continued the fantasy about demon hunting brothers and Chevy Impalas.

So there’d be this angel and he was their friend, and he’d totally help them when they needed it. And the angel and Spike would have this unspoken attraction, and the angel would help them out of jams, like pull Spike out of Hell and stuff when he needed it, and the other angels wouldn’t like his helping them, but he’d be a badass, too, but in a really nice way, and he’d totally defy Heaven to be friends with them, and then there'd be this Trickster, who's really someone completely different . . .
