Powerful. Heartbreking. Brilliant.

I admit, I had to read it twice. The first time to find out how it ends, pronto! The second time to savor all the terrific details, like "Ever since they’d killed the green demon, Angel had had a grudge".

You created epic fic in one chapter. The glimpses of the world you show us compose a vivid, terrifying picture. Xander's voice is perfect - his desperation, resolve, gallows humor, so totally him.

(I hope Spike killed the scavenger demon first)
