Nice, i like the idea and can very much see Faith adapting to this role. Will there be more in this series? It's nice to see Faith finally finding something she can call both home and her own-she did get stiffed a bit during the series. Nice fic. *hugs*

She found couldn’t stop touching Serenity

(apart from a possible missing "she"?), that's a beautiful line. As far-fetched as the idea is, the image of Faith you paint here is beautiful. Loved it.

And who said this is far fetched? The Mayor did give her a gizmo that let her switch bodies with Buffy - why not a travel forward in time thing.

Oh wow that was a wonderful twist for the Mayor to give his girl and she would adapt and I adore her connection to Serenity.

For being Evil (with a capital E) he was the only character who really seemed to value Faith and care about her in a protective way. That always pissed me off, but his gift to her is such a perfect takeoff point for crossovers. There are so many things that thingamabob could have been besides a mean to swap bodies with Buffy. *plots*

I loved this absolutely loved it and my favourite part

This ship - worn and weary as she was - whispered to Faith by day, sang to her by night, crooning over and over again that she was home.
