Excellent job capturing the head hurting and heart breaking torture Spike endured from The First and himself. Tara and Joyce, two women who were mostly kind to the vampire, was more cruel and effective than any of the other players.

Ohhhh! *wails* I don't think I've ever seen the awfulness of that early S7 insanity captured as well as you do here. Just heartbreaking. Lovely use of Darla and Joyce, and especially Tara - how spectacularly icky, to twist Tara's sweet kindness like that. Worse than the First!Buffy's taunting, it seems to me.
