Best thing about the Wolf? Those moments returning to myself, brain sparking into humanity, but keeping the Wolf senses. When She’s there.
She = Willow. But to Wolf, she’s only She.
She who smells good. Edible. I don’t like to think that way usually.
But in those transformational seconds I scent her to the full. Willowsmell. I inhale her essence - shy, uncertain, magic. Inner calm soothing outer flurry.
My love is a complex woman, hiding in a geeky girl. When she grows into her strength, nothing will stop her.
She will smell different then. I'm looking forward to it.

Sight: Wolfwitch
I don’t like to watch the Wolf. That’s not Oz. It’s everything he loathes - loud, uncontrolled, uncivilised. Physically too, all different - constant movement, constant sound. Not a sign of my quiet, ironic, sweet guy.
But sometimes now, when the first rage is off him, I sit quiet by the cage and just look at the Wolf. And he gazes back into my eyes and calms.
And then I can see. I can look without flinching and his eyes are clear.
That’s not the Wolf. That’s Oz. He’s stronger than he knows. He’s going to win.
We’re winning together.
