unexpected
I am off this whole week. When I left work friday afternoon the plan was to clean the apartment for the guests I was expecting to come this week.
I got home and did some cleaning and then trotted over to Target for some cleaning supplies. I cleaned my room and took out new sheets to change my bed with.
Saturday morning at around 730am my phone rang. From the ring, it was family. Getting a call this early on a saturday morning didn't exactly come often or at all so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was my mom. My grandmother had a stroke and was in the ER. I waited to hear what I should do. By 1030 my mom was asking me to come home. I got online, bought a ticket home, packed my things and got a ride to the airport by 12pm.
She had a stroke sometime either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. After the assessment she has a bleed in her brain which they can't do anything about just yet. They have to wait at least 48 hours to see if there is any change. Apparently she also vomited on herself, which luckily she didn't choke on although they think she swallowed some and some went in her nose. She also fell close to her heater and so she had a burn on her right leg, which unfortunately is paralyzed at this point. Last night she was already sedated when I got there so she was sound asleep. Today she would open her eyes when she heard us coming. She can't speak right now. She also started to pull out the tube in her nose that was feeding her. It's been rough seeing her, especially this close to losing my grandfather.
So instead of gearing up to enjoy a week of relaxation and fun, a week of good sushi and Wicked, a week of friends and family. Instead i'm gearing up to spend all day in the waiting room of the ICU.
So i'm asking if anyone out there wants tickets to see Wicked this Wednesday or if they know anyone who wants to see Wicked this Wednesday. They're in the 5th Row Mezzanine. I'm asking for face value or best offer. I really don't care if I get my money back but my friends were supposed to fly down on Tuesday and I had to already ask them to cancel their flights and take a loss of money, I don't want them to lost another $100 for no reason. They should be able to at least get their money back. So please be kind in your offers.
And if you could please keep my grandmother in your prayers, me and my family would really appreciate it.
