Scattershooting

*How awful that the seventeen year-old kid in Georgia was decaptitated by the Batman ride as he went into a restricted area to retrieve a $10 hat. How awful that his family will likely sue the park, even though he climbed two fences with KEEP OUT, DANGER, DO NOT ENTER RESTRICED AREA signs all over the place.

*I loved the movies "Iron Man" and "The Happening".

*I am crazy about my tiny dog Reggie. What a precious furball of love!

*I begin my new job July 21. I have mixed feelings about leaving Dr. Pifer's office and my friends. I'm way excited about working for LabCorp.

*When my teenaged children are not being defiant, moody, grouchy, self-centered brats, they can be a lot of fun to hang out with. And my daughter's sense of humor is world class! Funny, funny, funny!

*I never realized just how time-consuming and stressful being on the high school football board was going to be. It's a blast, though!

*My nine year-old washing machine is about to bite the big one. No wonder, considering the volume of laundry this family produces.

*Tomorrow we head out for a week at the beach. We've rented a beach house on Boliver Peninsula, just across the ferry from Galveston. I am going to do a whole lotta nothing.

*The Dodge Dakota Sport Terry bought in 1994 has finally kicked the bucket. What a great truck that was! It's been paid off for years, so the thought of another car payment added to our burgeoning monthly expenses is awful.
