Final stages of wedding countdown! Should be back to normal here soon-ish, once Homecoming Week is over!
For now, something tiny while I waited for the laundry.
Pieces of us
Ohno couldn't help but think it, naked and sweaty in the aftermath of sex, that he and Nino were raveled up together in more ways than one. He laid his cheek against the smooth plane of Nino's back, in that strange space between shoulder blade and the dip of his spine. He smelled salt and skin, himself and Nino. "Are we weird?" he asked, watching his fingers dance over the back of Nino's thigh.
Nino made a huffing sound and, with apparent great effort, turned his head so that he wasn't buried in the pillows of Ohno's bed anymore. "Technically?" Nino asked. "Yes," he went on without waiting for an answer. Ohno waited a little longer and Nino puffed out another breath. "I don't think we are," he said. "Is that what you wanted to hear?"
He watched his fingers drift and trace the curve of Nino's ass. "Only if it's the truth," he said. He pinched and smiled at Nino's affronted hiss. "I keep thinking we're written into each other's DNA, you and me."
"I didn't know you knew what DNA was," Nino said, swatting at him. Ohno lifted and let Nino roll over, rolling himself so that he could pillow his head on Nino's stomach and still look up at him. "Don't play with my pudge," Nino warned as Ohno poked at the skin around his bellybutton. Ohno stopped and settled, looking at Nino and the awkward way Nino's face folded as he tried to look down to him without propping himself up. "You want the truth?" Nino asked.
Ohno looked back at him. Nino rarely bothered to lie at any rate so that he was thinking of it meant something. "Even if it's bad," he promised.
Nino smiled and looked at the ceiling, folding his hands behind his head. "Even if we weren't, I'd re-write your DNA to hide myself inside of it. I'd hide you in mine. And then we'd have to spend forever trying to untangle, looking for each other in every life to be whole. Quit snickering down there, you!"
Reigning in his giggles, Ohno flopped to his side and squirmed up until he could kiss Nino on the mouth. "I love you." Nino couldn't help the poetic nature of his soul. "You're cute."
"Shut up," Nino said, blushing and tugging him down to another kiss.
