Our AC is Broken
Really really broken. As in, the compressor is gone. As in, the repair guy advises against replacing the compressor due to the condition of the rest of the unit. As in, if we did replace the compressor it would be 1500+ dollars anyhow, which we don't have anyway.
At least it's a lot cooler now than it was a week ago. I am gratefull Still, if the heat goes back up, I'll have to check with my doc about one of my meds - the one with warning lables about avoiding 'excessive heat' and that I know interferes with sweating (TMI??? But usually it's nice not to sweat very much.)
Anyone want to sell/loan us a window unit or three?
Tangent is on the phone now, and the local hardware stores seem to have stopped carrying them because it is 'Fall' already.
