Friday, got up early and went off to Lingdale to see various rellies. Kids were on good form. Josh is definately a surrealist comic, his jokes being either scatalogical or just plain opaque. Went up Eston Hills, egg rolling and egg eating. Made the mistake of getting different easter presents instead of the same thing for the girls which was a narrowly averted disaster. Avoided the easter Whitby traffic there and back for the majority of the trip, hurrah!! Saturday, over to Salford to see Al's rellies, then out to Imaginary Friends....which could have been a bit better attended. (Mind the dj did play 'And She Was' for me, which was GOOD. :)) Major mishap on the way home though, when getting in the car in the multistorey and starting it not realising it was still in gear, shot forward and bounced the car off the retaining wall in spectacular fashion, DOH! Now have a splayed bumper/wings (OUCH). Car was drivable. Was cross because Al in typical man fashion wanted to know WHY I'd done it. Because I felt like driving into a wall for no reason, you nit. Having regained my equilibrium next day, Mamfa and EBlue joined us for a spell in the sunny (windy) garden, then played the Really Nasty Horse Racing Game (which I won) and then Frustration, then ate tea, then went home to let it settle. On Monday, pulled at the car a bit to assess how bad the damage actually was, after lots of bickering we agreed that we can't fix it any further ourselves, a solid bar has been pushed in about 1/2 an inch. Lucky really it could have been much worse. Made tea for Al's mum. Tuesday, went tootling around shopping with Dee and then went riding/exploring. Nearly ended up crossing Leeds/Bradford Road by Bradford Odeon on horseback but thought better of it....just a bit too busy. People are trying to organise birthday stuff it's quite disconcerting!
