Nods slowly. I swear upon my first dagger that I will not tell your uncle. She listens to the question somewhat expecting that this might be the subject of Courtney's delimma. She is also oddly touched that Courtney chose to come to her. Please...sit down, Max indicated a comfortablr chair. This might take awhile. Are you hungry or thirsty?
"I could drink some water or tea or something, I guess." Courtney thinks it might be nice to have a glass to hold and stare into during this conversation. She sits in the chair, folding her legs under her. Then she realizes it might not be okay to put her feet on the cushion, so she shifts position, letting her feet dangle instead.
Max strides over to the kitchen and busied herself with making a pitcher of ice water in a cut-glass pitcherShe brought the pitcher over to the table with a pair of goblets that matched the pitcher. She also brought over a bowl of fresh fruit and some cookies. She set everything down on the coffee table, pouring water into the glasses and giving one to Courtney. She notes Courtney's posture and smiles slightly. You may as well make yourself comfortable. The furniture can take it.
Max sits across from Courtney and sips her water. Now I assume you know the biology behind sex. Correct? She looked at Courtney a moment before continuing on. Sex is a matter of both life and-or death if...certain things...protocols are not observed...so in its way it is quite scary....it means trusting a person at you're most vulnerable and for them vice versa...so yes it can be scary.
Courtney takes a couple nervous gulps of water, listening with large, worried dark eyes. "But does it have to hurt? It just seems like...girls are all about the flowery romantic crap and then boys say shit like 'I want to fuck you 'till you bleed' and think it's either sexy or funny or both...I don't see the connection."
She listens for a moment, thinking about how to respond to this... For women, there is some discomfort the first time around. But if one is fully and properly prepared and wants to have sex, it should not hurt. The next statement startles a laugh from her.... Well I can't say that I have ever been one for the flowery romantic crap...and most guys who say lines like that are usually covering up some inadequacy or covering fear with bravado. She gives Courtney a curious look. May I ask a question?
Why are you asking these questions? Why are you so scared and finally...out of all the women you could have gone to...why me? She gives a slight smile and waits.
"Umm. Well, to answer the last question first, I figured I could trust your, um, discretion. And that you wouldn't tell me I was too young for this discussion or anything." She gulps some more water, then sets the goblet aside with shaky hands. "And...I'm asking because...when Templeton was in my head, he...showed me what he was planning. He was going to try and possess Uncle A and--and make him r-rape me and even though Uncle A swears he would die before he let that happen, Templeton made me see it over and over in my head and I can't make it stop replaying..."
If you are old enough to ask the questions, you are old enough to recieve an honest answer.. She studies the girl...she knows these symptoms and a hard, cold flame burns in her eyes...Templeton better hope he stays dead and not run into her...the way this is...she might have to make some special prayers to Hades for this.
She steps over and gathers Courtney up in her arms and strokes her hair. He was a fucking bastard and what he was planning has nothing at all to do with sex..it's violence and control and robbery...it has nothing to do with love or even a good time ...she sighs.... You are very brave sweetling...but we may need to consult with Professor Snape or Nadezhda over this...but right now...cry if you need to.
Courtney is still for a moment, surprised, then hugs back abruptly, shaky but not crying. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. "Th-thank you...I'm okay. I am." She clings for a moment. "I don't think I want Snape or Dez to know. Uncle A...he knows, and he's trying, but he doesn't, y'know...it's just as hard for him, in a different way. Fuck. I don't want to have to see a therapist or anything. I don't want to be like this."
Max nods and holds on till Courtney draws away It is okay. Snape and Dez don't have to know unless you want them to...but I am concerned with the way these memories were placed in your mind..if they will fade to let your mind heal. At the mention of her uncle knowing...she shakes her head....she is horrified for him...but she does not pity him...he would not wish that... If the nightmares do not fade you may have to..I know you don't She strokes the girl's hair.... Whatever you believe never ever think this your fault. Your pain and your Uncle's pain is the fault of that sick, twisted kúkalabbi who was in your head...never you.
"I...I guess I could stand to talk to Dr. Schreber, maybe. He works with memory anyway." She murmurs, leaning into the hug for a moment, before sinking back into the chair with a sigh. She smiles weakly at Max. "That's what Uncle A said. I know, rationally I guess, that it's not my fault. But I still feel dirty." She shudders, then calms again. "But I'll be okay, eventually..."
If you're willing to trust this Dr., then I will ask you to consider it. Max lets her lean into her, glad that Courtney does not object to her low body temp. She steps back a moment after Courtney withdraws and nods. The feeling dirty part is natural and should fade in time...you're strong and you will be all right...it just takes time.
