Around the island...

Today, I got a call from Saumo. Boy must be nuts, trying to call me at 7am. LOL! Fortunately I didn't hear it. He called again around 9am and I picked it up. I decided to go with his family for their last tour around the island together. His family won't be returning from San Diego, after the wedding. They've decided to live up there.

So, I got up and got ready. Made sure that I had my digicam... and got the essentials needed for a day beach hopping. They came and got me around 1030ish... and it was all fun and laughs. Saumo and I were in the back talking, when his parents turned up the radio, and tried to search for a station we all could listen to. That's when some HipHop song came on, LOUD! Saumo and I both stopped mid-sentence and started our stupid little hip hop bounce, and laughed hysterically. Yeah, so you had to be there. We made a pit stop at the Blowhole. Had a hell of a time trying to time our picture taking... annabethfan, I tried my best, it's not the greatest, but eh... hehe. Then headed over to Waimanalo Beach. Rough waters.

As soon as we got to the beach we were so hot, we headed over to the water. Saumo's mom came in... and as soon as she did... LOL! Poor thing, she got slammed by waves. She finally sat down on the shore line. The waves weren't all that big, but they were pretty powerful. I seen this rather big wave coming, and I yelled, "INCOMING!" Too late, the wave crashed right on her. She rolled all over and just crawled out and sat on the beach. After we made sure she was okay, we went back into the water.

Next, we sat in the car for an HOUR and a HALF heading over to Waimea Beach, right off North Shore. Such a beautiful beach. The water is so clear... you can see little schools of fishes. Our friend Kala met up with us, and we proceeded to the water. There were a few people fishing, and Kala and Saumo's lil bro, being the friendly curious people that they are, started making conversation... while Saumo and I were just cracking up laughing down the ways. As most of you know, we can be pretty evil in our thoughts... and we were joking about swimming right where people were fishing and just scaring all the fish away. Of course we were feeling left out, but hehe it was by choice... we were being a bit anti-social, and we knew it... it was all in the fun. We were laughing about it... and making jokes... ahh good times.

While we were in the water, it started to pour... weird, it was such a nice day just moments before. It was hilarious to see people getting out of the water when it started to rain. Like are they afraid to get wet???

Anyway, now I'm home... trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with my ipod and about to give up and just get me a new one. But I told Amanda, I'd take pics... and damnit, I try to deliver. HAHA

Blowhold... I swear I tried! there were some pretty huge sprays.

This pic was taken off of Makapu'u Beach. If you look at it, it looks like a profile of a woman. There's a legend behind it, which I won't go in depth about, but part of the legend is that Hi'iaka, the woman whose profile you see, is waiting for her Lover, by the ocean.

One of the beaches we were at... Waimanalo

Turtle Island off of Waimanalo Beach. I forgot to take a pic Rabbit Island.

Cliff off of the Blowhole

Beach scene off the other side of blowhole.

And to end it... The Sunset, off of Sunset Beach. Purdy huh?
