(no subject)
so I was reading through my most recent page of entries (if you can call almost a year's worth recent) and am happy to report that I think I have grown a little. thats always nice.
Bishop Burke spoke at our friday forum about keeping a journal, and it inspired me to be more diligent in here and in the paper journal i bought myself awhile back.
tonight was a multi-stake Valentines dance held at our institute building. I donned my pink button-up shirt and went. it was fun. much better than last year's valentines day activity, where all i felt was miserable and alone. still won't mind when valentines day is over, if only for the fact that i won't have to see as many jewelry store commercials where a girl leaps into her man's arms after he gives her some necklace or whatnot. its all garbage. vile, depressing garbage.
as the assistant coach for San Marcos High School's JV boys basketball team, I helped lead them to an 0-12 league record. it was frustrating at times, but a good experience for me, and i certainly enjoyed it overall. and i am glad to have 12 hours a week of my life back.
i am ever more anxious to know if any schools are going to accept me. UCSB already said no, which was really disappointing because they were my number one choice. but thats ok. Now I am kinda hoping for Utah. but im not really sure i want that. what i want is just to know where I will be living next year, so I can stop driving myself crazy wondering. I really need to take the advice I have heard many times before and just enjoy the journey
