For theair_thesun 's June Drabble Contest . The prompt was music off my playlist.

Forcing Views (Song by Ricky Butcher (Character from a great Canadian cartoon called Sons of Butcher, they had one of the characters release a "solo album" and I can't remember the actor's name, so we're going with Ricky Butcher XD)

Rating: T for swearing.

Embry rapped on Jake's door again before heading down stairs.

"Hey son, when did you get here?" Billy said from the kitchen.

"Just now. Sorry for not knocking I thought... I thought he wouldn't come down."

Billy's sullen face spoke volumes. "He's in the garage."

Embry nodded his thanks and headed out. The garage was a mess. Half-bent tools strewn everywhere, Jake scowled at the twisted wrench in his hands.

Embry sighed. "So... they got back together huh?

Jake wiped his reddened face. "I am so fucking done trying to teach her anything."

Embry sat beside him. "I know."

Die For Love (song by Johnny Hollow)

Bella has fallen shortly after she got there, during the "studying" they were supposed to be doing, and well before "bike-fixing" which was intended. Jake figured that she hadn't been sleeping well from the habitual under-eye circles, so when she nodded off on his shoulder, he decided to just let her sleep, as long as he could stay still anyway.

Looking down at her he felt, despite her insistence they couldn't, that this pretend friendship could turn into something... more.

But for now he was content to hold his breath, letting those little words die on his lips.

Secrets Don't Make Friends (song by From First To Last)

Rating: T, for depression

Word Count: 99

Bella didn't know when she started actually wanting Jake to like her (as a friend), but it had happened. And that was the hardest things to deal with as she tried to pull herself together this, one of those "bad days".

She wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to gain composure.

"I am normal. Absolutely normal. My ex-boyfriend isn't a vampire, and I don't hear him speak when I do dangerous things."

And they don't cut me into pieces, she thought.

She almost laughed at the lie as she headed out the door, praying he wouldn't notice.

This Hollow World (song by Johnny Hollow, again xP)

Rating: K

Word Count: 99

Bella stared up at the ceiling, not wanting to move or think. The radio droned on beside her, some talk station she switched it to when the silence became deafening.

She couldn't sleep. How she wanted to fall into oblivion, but she couldn't. And anyway, she knew oblivion wouldn't come. The dreams would. The dreams that burned her world to a husk.

She turned over again, ignoring the aching need in her heart, and shivered, only wishing she was cold.

Because he was cold.

She shut her eyes again. Even the dreams were preferable hollowness of the waking world.

This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)(song by Taking Back Sunday)

Rating: T for swearing.

Word Count: 99

"He's at the funeral."

My heart thudded. "Jake, give it to me."

Jake ignored me. "Who do you think just said that?"

My face reddened. "Jake. Give. Me. The. Phone."

Jake ignored me again. "You know, you got a lot of nerve."

"Jake!"

He finally turned to me. "Aren't you sick of this yet? Do you really want to go through this shit with them again?"

"Jake, the phone."

He handed it over reluctantly. I took a deep breath before speaking. "He's right. I need to start over. I can't talk to you."

Jake grinned as I hung up.

Good news though, next chapter of Realistic Dreams is almost done! Yay!
