brian complained yet again that i do not update my journal, so here i am for all of you who wait on the edge of your couches, beds and chairs for my ever-so-intriguing updates. so sorry to keep my adoring fans waiting.
school has once again begun, hence the lack of updates. my home life has consisted of food, bathing, and sleep. livejournal does not make my top five list of "things i need to live". again... sorry.
not to be outdone by previous years of dual department teaching, this year a wonderful surprise awaited me when i opened my snazzy folder that contained the fate of my ext 180 days. i now teach not only english and music, but also computer. imagine my delight when i discovered this. in reality, it's nothing but babysitting while freshmen use a built in typing software to learn proper typing techniques. high-tech babysitting. good times. i'll keep you all posted on the joys of typing.
my other classes are as normal. three music 7 classes, one freshman honors english class, and 7th grade chorus. we have 2 new music teachers on staff this year, and one of them took over 6th grade chorus. the other one is replacing bryan, who left after a year to pursue a better job opportunity. both seem really nice, and are adjusting fairly well to the odd world of k-berg.
so other than school... hmm. matt visited labor day weekend, which was lovely. we bummed around like... bums. i'm tired, forgive the poor simile. he's been given the responsibility of planning a lovely columbus day getaway for us, which frightens me but lightens my load considerably.
in a move very unlike me, i actually followed through with my decision to pick up knitting again. i picked up some new needles and bought some really nice yarn, and i'm knitting (as requested) a scarf for matt. i can't believe that he ASKED for a scarf, as his body temp is usually quite toasty even in the coldest of syracuse winters, but he did, so i am. it's coming along quite nicely. i'm sure i'll pick up another project here and there along the way.
hmm... i think that's really all i have to update on right now, but i think that should satiate you nut jobs who actually read this thing. my life is not all that interesting, really. you need to pick up a book or something. if you need suggestions i could help out with that.
