Whatta Day!
Well the holiday went off without a hitch. Spent time with the family both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And then this morning, I ripped the tree down, I put all the Christmas goodies away until next year, and then the phone rings. I see the name on caller ID, but instead of ignoring it, I pick it up. My supervisor asks me what I have planned for the afternoon....I say "nothing much, why?"....then she goes on to say:
"well, with the weather and the airports shut down and the fact that there are people stranded everywhere thru out the US, we need to have a few supervisors at the office."
I can't think quick enough to come up with a good excuse why I cant go in and work today....so I say, "sure I'll head in as soon as I can".
Into the shower I go....leave the house with wet hair....and off I go to sit in my desk to field traveling issues....lost luggage....worried parents...and pissed off passengers.
Truth betold they want to pay me time and a half to sit here, it's fine by me...but a bit boring.....I cant do much but listen to the next complaint. And I only have three more hours to go. Yippee.
