Mr. Martinez,
I found an interesting article on CNN's website:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/11/14/alito.ap/index.html aside from your picture showing up near the headline with Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, it also contains quotes from his application to become deputy assistant attorney general in the Reagan administration that scare me, and I'm willing to bet, many other of your constituents:
"I am particularly proud of my contributions in recent cases in which the government argued that racial and ethnic quotas should not be allowed and that the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion."
This is not the rhetoric of someone that believes in limited government, but rather someone that openly attempts to force his own narrow minded point of view on the rights of others. I believe he will not hold precedent with Roe v. Wade but would rather legislate from the bench. Please keep the divide between church and state intact and vote NO on Mr. Alito's nomination
thank you for your time,
