(no subject)
Best day ever!
Liz and I went to the Belly Dance Spring Festival at the fairgrounds with my new friend Elisabeth (also Liz....from here on out I will call my Liz - roommate Liz - "Celery"...it's a nickname we both have for one another). Anyway...it was FANTASTIC and inspiring! I even bought a shirt which completely is risque and shows my belly, but I'm going to try to get confident to wear it for class.
After a few hours at the totally awesome festival, we went to Liz and Gabe's condo downtown (they're engaged). They have the CUTEST cat...and I am not a cat person and I'm semi-allergic (just get itchy, not allergic)...but Chester is HUGE and floppy and like a lapdog, and he smells like a steamer with nutmeg. Anyway...they had five other friends over...Christine, Allison, Rebecca, David, and Ryan. Gabe is an amazing cook and made a fantastic pizza from scratch (they're vegetarians, so it was great!), and Allison (Ali) their friend made this awesome gluten-free cookie brownie. We all sat around the table in their gorgeous condo and talked about each other, travels, a bit of political correctness, and just amazing discussion. Then we all played Apples to Apples and laughed hysterically! We also listened to amazing music by Davatchka.
After a few more hours, Liz, Gabe, David, Celery, and I went to The Hotel downtown (club). We went to pad the list for their friend, who is the best DJ in SLC...DJ Birdman...he was the DJ for Port o Call before it closed. So we got in free and I enjoyed a Shirley Temple on the house. :) It was great to socialize, and to be on the "list"...and just great fun.
