Mmmmm...Portabello Paninis...
I'd like to announce that I have been reunited with my lifesaver, Phentermine. Woooohoooo!
I took it today again for the first time in a couple months. I got all the weird side effectishness of it, but it's great because I'm not hungry ever. I ate lunch and I'm just dead with fullness. I love this stuff. It's so subtle and you can't feel it feel it, but you can feel it. Like, you know it's working. So I'm really happy about this. Maybe there's hope! I still have the Meridia, but I'll take it when I'm done with Phentermine. I need the kick right now so Meridia is on hold. Phentermine, even if sometimes it makes you feel like blah, it's oh-so-wonderful!
Hmmm what else? Oh yes. I bought shoes! I've never owned a really "classy" pair of shoes.
I usually wear Mary Janes or if it's a formal just boring black strappy ones. I bought
these! They were originally $50 on sale for $21 plus I had a gift card so I got them for $8. :) It's so hard to find cute shoes that fit me right so I was way excited when they fit! I had a complex at first because I always have a strap like on Mary Janes that I feel makes my leg look slimmer (I've got uber muscular...no, not fatty...calves). So I was like EWE my legs look FAT. But then I realized it's just ME and I'm paranoid and the shoe is fabulous therefore I'm fabulous. The end. :) Oooh and I bought that
white dress to wear this weekend, too.
I've been realizing that it's not bad to pay attention to yourself.
I never used to be a shopper or even care what I wear [how ironic since my favorite show is "What Not To Wear" ;)]. Never wore make-up, nothing. So today while walking downtown running errands I noticed with these shoes on I walk a lot different...more upright and more confident. It's amazing what a pair of shoes can do, and a comfortable professional outfit! I felt amazing.
And I got compliments from all sorts of people. I've worn this outfit before, but just by how I was presenting myself I came across as a totally different person. Amazing!
The sweetest compliment was a lady [she's a bit mentally ill] at mom's work. She didn't know who I was and she came up to me and with the biggest grin on her face said I have beautiful eyes. As I was leaving I said "Bye mom!" and as I walked out the door I heard her ask, "That's your daughter?" and mom affirmed. The lady was in awe and said, "Wow, she is SO beautiful!" and mom said "I know, isn't she?" Awwwwwwhhhh!
I went to the circus yesterday. I love that my dad is a clown and I get to go for freeeeeeeeee!!!!! :) I went and met up with Kristy and her husband and kids. My favorite was the drum act...those Spanish boys are hooooot. ;) And it sounded awesome! Two guys and a gal were in these awesome traditionaly Spanish costumes with Valencian flavor or something...and the guys could freakin high kick while drumming...but they all had bongo type drums and then this hard floor they'd hit in rhythm with these yoyo looking things and their shoes while the others drummed...it was awesome. :)
In other news, well, not much. Dad cracked a really funny joke today about the only way someone will fall for me is if I trip them. I guess you had to be there, but I laughed SOOOOO hard! :)
After work I'm heading down to Detroit. YES! :) It's Jessica's [
jayco_homedog] reception and I'm going to stay at Amanda's [
rckstrism] house!!! I'm so excited. It's going to be a super duper fun weekend!!!!
Alright, I think I'm done.
Loves! :)
