This is my second post on this since my first ended up in the wind somewhere. SIGH. That just discourages me so much. So you get a truncated version of the awesomeness that was this weekend!

Thank you Naomi for filming us!
Exc Fast NQ - can we just get a group hahahahahaha!!!
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZOjObRYusM Ummm, note to self...probably not the best choice to change your plan after you've walked. I'd come into the trial with goals of supporting obstacles, RUNNING, keeping up my energy level for my dog who really feeds off my level of energy and RUNNING. Naomi's commentary is amusing :). Right off the bat, I'm NOT running OR supporting obstacles! The only "good" thing about this run is my dog actually stopped from taking the off course jump in the bonus and found the tunnel just off a verbal "TUNNEL!" He took the weaves on the way out to the finish jump and skipped the last weave. Turns out, the weaves would haunt us all day.
EXC Std NQ - I was happy with his AF contact but then pulled him off the next jump. I knew he had skipped the last weave pole, but hadn't noticed he missed one at the beginning. I was very happy with his DW/tunnel discrimination and must have stood back there admiring it since I didn't get in position for a FC out of the tunnel. The RC worked wel though. There are still a lot of head checks Wick gives me, so a lot to work on there.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=InIpdC7puac EXc JWW NQ - I really liked this run. The line of three jumps (4,5,6) to the weaves were taking a lot of dogs out. I walked it several different ways and in the end just went for running hard and RC'ing between 5 & 6. We got it, but Wick was a bit surprised to see jump 6 in front of him and I'm not sure how he managed to get over it without knocking the bar. It caused him to miss his weave entry, though. But, I was still really happy with this run.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KEOsbno-Lro T2b Q and 1st - I love T2b. 'Nuff said.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HBvdq1MnYCc I had left my car at a coffee establishment in Springfield that morning, met Naomi and rode up with her, because traveling partners make everything better, and we capped off a fun Friday by me having forgetten my car keys on top of my crate in Albany. DOH!! So she had to bring me all the way home, I tag teamed my husband who had to run out the door to his night of League Championship pool (billiards) and I had to enlist the help of a neighbor to take me to get my car with our spare set of keys. Good grief.

Thank you to Holly and my mom for filming some of my runs. I was waiting for my mom to send me my JWW run because it was my favorite all weekend, but we're having trouble with getting it sent, so if it ever shows up, I'll post it.
Exc Fast Q - this was actually a good run, too, and my first "Exc" Q. I was very proud of my boy for getting the difficult bonus! This run was much smoother than Friday's Fast run - maybe because I stuck to my plan. I got a lot of points (though I don't remember how much) and finished at 26 seconds, so I would have had time to go get a 7 pt teeter.
Exc Std NQ - this was my other train wreck! I got a little rattled because we followed a Doberman and wicket had gotten super focused on it. I always wait to go in until the dog ahead of me is DONE. But the dobe and owner were having a big finish celebration and I waited until everyone was yelling at me and getting chastised because I hadn't gone in when the dog was at a certain obstacle, blah, blah, blah...I wasn't about to let Wick off leash until the dobe was out of the ring. But I was rattled enough I almost forgot to sit Wick at the startline, and when I tried to sit Wicket, he was reluctant. This is a BIG sign that Wick is starting to shut down. The beginning of the run was pretty bad, but the end was okay, but Wicket didn't have a lot of energy.
After Wicket's reluctance to sit and his fading energy, he held back and didn't want to get in his crate. Another HUGE indicator that he was DONE. Luckily, my mom showed up and Wicket LOVES my mom, and it was cool enough that I took him to the car and just let him stay in the car and chill. And it worked. He was a whole new dog when I went to get him for our next run.
Exc JWW NQ - I LOVED this run. LOVED IT!! The jumps had been changed out (fromFriday) to the new vinyl jumps with the rubber jump cups so I didn't realize he had knocked a bar (you can't hear the bar drop!)...kind of a bummer...BUT it was still an AWESOME run! And our time was under 30 seconds, which is pretty good for Wicket. I felt like the run was fast and smooth. Yay!
T2b Q and 3rd - did I mention I love this class? I actually thought I'd gotten first, but I think there must have been some 24" dogs who had conflicts, or something, and were added quite a bit later, but that's fine. It was a great run and, again, pretty speedy for Wicket. I'm very happy with the speed he had this weekend. Or at least, it "felt" like he was faster.
That's it! Two days is about perfect and the weather was perfect! I also was so happy that, with the exception of the Doberman, wicket didn't seem like he wanted to take off after any other dogs. I was worried that if Naomi happened to be running Lu at the same time I was running Wicket, that I might lose him to the other ring for sure, but nope! Even when Lu barked a little during Friday's T2b, Wicket didn't even seem to hear him!!! Good boy :))
Now I'm hitting the "Post" button fast, before this disappears, too. Please forgive any typos, I'm not proofing it!
