Okay! Think of Raikou and Yukimi as on a subordinate-superior-but-this-is-off-the-clock level. If that makes sense. Yeah, being at camp isn't going to make things different from normal between the two, but it's entirely in an outside-of-work setting, whereas back home there's more than that. Raikou's most of the way across the threshold to an "adult" Yukimi can tolerate, as opposed to an "immature brat." Raikou can act and seem very mature, something Yukimi does respect in him, and the guy's very reliable and takes the more important things seriously. At the same time, little things like Raikou's inconvenient sense of humor and poor driving are like the tiny, tiny hooks digging into him and holding him back from crossing the threshold inside Yukimi's perception of him. Sure, it's a bit judgmental and perhaps not entirely fair, but Yukimi's kind of a jaded guy. Their interactions in camp haven't really affected this very much - it's more the setting, the lack of stress over Kairoushuu, missions, the Shinrabanshou, etc. In camp they seem to lead pretty separate lives, only running into each other now and then like acquaintances. Not that it bothers him.
TL;DR - Raikou is a mostly okay guy who knows MOST of the time when to be serious. And he needs driving lessons. Rock on.
