This was in response to a comment in my last post. The situation (which wasn't really a situation, but a misunderstanding of a multispecific nature) has since been resolved, but this is just good stuff.

And regardless of whether black people hold that power, using racial slurs or being racist doesn't help stop racism, and can only hurt it. I'm not saying that this is at all comparable in scope to any person using the n-word or the institutionalized racism prevalent throughout society, particularly in the legal system, but regardless of all of that - independent of all of that - it's still bad.
I push off nothing, but if I'm going to fight racism, I'm going to do it with everyone, and not let people off the hook because I had it coming or it's understandable. It's not going to be something I'm going to get into a fistfight over (unlike a white guy saying something to a black guy, which I have), but I don't think it's reasonable of me to let it slide either.
I have the option to let it go or not, and I'm choosing to not let racism slide. You have that option too, and it's not just racism against you that you can let slide or not.

And that sucks, and it doesn't help, but it's the reality of the thing. Give blacks a pass on cracka and whitey because that's the only ground we have. And when we get to a point that your side is cleaned up, then come yell at us about it, but until then, let us have it and fight some bigger battles, because this argument will still be there, trust.
