Name: Chie Satonaka
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Fandom: Persona 4
Timeline: Post-True Ending
History:
http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Chie_Satonaka Character Personality: A strong, outgoing personality, Chie truly lives by her movie quote motto, "Don't think, feel." While she is a fiery tomboy, at the same time she is a loyal and loving friend. She sees herself as a protector of the weak, and makes it her duty to watch over her friends, family, and even total strangers who might need a hand. Where most people would ask how you got yourself into such a mess, Chie would ask you how she can get you out of it.
That doesn't mean that she's completely selfless, though. Although she does enjoy being the knight in shining armor, part of it is because Chie needs to be needed. While outwardly confident, she doesn't think much of herself. She doesn't think she's pretty, and she doesn't think she's smart, but none of that matters so much if people rely on her. It validates her, and gives her a sense of control, which, in the end, makes her better than them. As canon advances, she grows out of this, a little, but the need for people to rely on her still remains.
Intensely lawful good, Chie's idea of good and evil is like black and white. Bad people do bad things, and good people kick them in the face and bring them to justice. She is outspoken, and not at all afraid of getting in someone's face and yelling at them to fight for real or get the hell out. While it may come off as reckless and stupid, Chie can pull off the macho bravado act better than any boy. And she knows it.
If, for any reason, she is unable to help, or just doesn't know how, Chie will panic. Tears, screaming, worrying, all of it at once. When someone she hold especially dear is involved, there will usually be a mini-meltdown before she is able to get back on her feet and fix the problem.
Chie's also very gullible, and loves rumors and gossip. She was the first character to believe that a television would magically turn on if you watched it on a rainy midnight, and she takes friendly and talkative to the extreme! On Souji's first day of school, Chie's the first to talk to him, first to introduce herself, and the first to invite him to hang out. She affectionately teases her friends, asking Souji if he likes Yukiko after knowing him for only a matter of hours, not to mention her constant back and forth banter with Yosuke.
When not rescuing kids from bullies and hanging out with her friends, Chie has a passion for kung fu movies and steak. Her favorite action movies inspired her to become a martial artist herself, and turn her legs into lethal weapons. She is constantly training and honing her skills, tracing back to her driving force, the need to serve and protect. She's certainly not the smartest girl out there, but she knows what she needs to do and she does it to the best of her ability.
Character Abilities: The girl's a martial arts machine, even before the events of the game, and the awakening of her persona, Chie could still probably take anyone she knew. She's been watching martial arts movies and emulating them ever since she was little, so by now, she has quite a bit of skill. She has an abundance of energy, and can eat more steak than a pack of lions. With her Persona, Suzuku Gongen, she becomes much stronger. She's the strongest of the whole group, even. In addition to her physical strength, she can perform simple ice spells, but she isn't nearly as magically inclined as most of the other characters.
She also has quite a bit of defensive skill. This applies not only in battle, where she can take a pretty heavy beating before she buckles, but in personal matters, too. She doesn't let things get to her very often, and when she does, she fixes it by kicking someone in the head. Despite the fact that she doesn't excel in school, she does occasionally stumble upon moments of unexpected brilliance.
Character Weaknesses: Even though Chie presents herself as a confident and tough person on the exterior, she suffers from very poor self-esteem. She's pretty much given up on being pretty or popular, so she surrounds herself with people that she perceives as better than her to make up for it. She single-handedly lowers the class average with her test scores, and despite what she thinks, she can't cook to save her life. No matter how hard she tries, no matter who helps her, so don't even try.
In contrast with her tomboy nature, Chie can't stand bugs, and as expected of someone whose magical focus is with ice, she isn't very good with fire. That'll drop her to her knees lickity-split. When under pressure, she gets stressed out easily and is prone to panic and worry. She's known to jump to the worst possible conclusion as soon as it becomes an option, even though she recovers later and becomes sunny once again.
[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]
Because she won't have her persona in Death City, everything having to do with that (power charging abilities, ice spells, enhanced strength) will be gone, leaving her with just her ordinary martial arts ability and an affinity towards cold weather. All of her mental strengths will remain.
Chie lived the majority of her life without any powers out of the ordinary, so losing them won't debilitate her. None of her major weaknesses are dependent on her persona, so she should keep all of them.
[ MEISTER ONLY SECTION ]
Why your character should be a Meister: Chie has near-limitless energy, she would have a difficult time being stuck in an inanimate form, and would be much more effective in battle if she were able to be constantly moving around. She's also very proactive, and a motivator for others, taking it upon herself to lead a number of amateur organizations in the quest for JUSTICE before the events of the game. The fact that she validates herself through the success of others transfers over easily to helping a weapon in their quest to become a Death Scythe.
Meister Ability: Icy Soul, Soul Defend, Soul Blitz
