My First Date With Kyle! July 14, 2005
11:00am - Woke up and got dressed for my doc appt.
1:00pm - On our way to the doc, we got in a car wreck. Some teenage girl rear ended us and we hit the car in front of us. My mom was taken to the hospital. (She's fine now.) Kyle called me and I told him about it. After dealing with the police report my Dad and I got to go. He took me to Kroger and the bank for a money order, and then took me home. He went to the hospital.
2:17pm - Called Kyle I got home now. He was about to leave. I got in the shower shortly after and got dressed
3:15pm - Called Jackie to wish her a happy birthday. She was all excited for me.
3:32pm - Lenora called me for my pep talk… again. I was freaking out, being nervous. (Just like the last date I had.) But luckily I wasn't hyperventilating.
3:45pm - I started blasting the CD I made that reminds me of Kyle. I was singing a lot very loudly.
4:22pm - I look at my phone and notice the time, and start to freak out again. Kyle was supposed to be here at 4 o’clock. Starting to wonder… (Also, I was no where near as nervous as I was with Kevin’s date. I think it’s because then it was my very first date.)
4:27pm - Doorbell rings and the dog is going crazy. It’s Kyle! I jump at the window and have him come in. After controlling the dog I give him a big hug. I show him around the house a little bit and go into my room to turn down the music. I grab my coat and apply some cologne, and we are off.
The Date: We went to his car; he opened the door for me. His car is a green, automatic, Toyota Camry, with a sun roof, and we started off. We started talking and we decided to go to Amanda’s work and visit her. I call my Dad to tell him I left. Mom was waiting for the x-ray results when I talked to him. Then called Amanda at 4:43p, I told her to stay at work, because she was to get off at 5p. We get to Kroger and walk back to the Pharmacy and see her, do the introducing. We talk with her for a bit and then head outside. We stand outside her truck and talk for 20 mins or so. Then we get going; Kyle and I park to talk about what we are going to do now. Amanda pulls up next to us, we talk again. Kyle and I decide to go to the Starbucks in Gainesville. So we head that way. We talk the whole way there, about everything, including how much we love each other.
We get there and he orders a Vanilla Bean frappuccino and I get an iced Café Latte, we each paid for our own, but I wanted to pay for his. We are standing at the counter he sees the Etta James CD and I notice the Alanis Morrisette acoustic CD there. We get our coffee and go sit outside. We were there for 30 or 40 mins, (I started to play foot-sy with him) and talk about what we are going to do next. I suggested that we go to a park and walk around. So we go to the car, where he opens the door again, and we drive down to exit 13 and head towards Sharon Springs Park.
Here is when we started making physical contact; we held hands the entire time. We drove past South HS and Kyle was all excited to see where I grew up. We were listening to a tape in his car, I only knew one song: “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, lol. We drove into my old neighborhood and I showed him my old house and then we went to the park. We parked the car in the back, near the tennis courts and sat to talk. After holding each other’s hands and looking deep into his eyes I noticed he was biting his bottom lip. I took that as a sign that he wanted to kiss me, so I started to bite my lip to send him the same vibe. After looking into each other’s eyes I leaned in for the kiss, it was maybe I moved in 60% and him 40%. Then we started passionately making out with tongue. Although he’s a bad kisser, it’s okay, because he hasn’t had that much experience. Some cars were driving by, so every once in a while we would stop, but then keep going. (This was all around 8:20p) Since it was raining we didn’t get out like I had hoped. My favorite part of the date was during this time. He had his arms wrapped around me and I was holding on to them. I mentioned something about marriage and I slipped my ring off and put it on his L ring finger. Then we passionately kissed again. (We fogged up the windows, hehe) After that we talked about what we were going to do next. I decided on doing dessert before dinner, so we went to Bruster’s.
We sat in the car holding hands and Amanda called at 8:35p. We got out and Kyle ordered some key lime pie ice cream and I got a strawberry shortcake sundae type thing. After I ordered the girl behind the counter saw my rainbow slap bracelet, and asked if the orders were separate or together, and I made Kyle put his money away and gave her the money. She said, “Aww you’re such a nice guy, paying for him.” Kyle and I made eye contact, basically saying that that was our first comment in public about us as a couple. When she gave me my change she said, “you have a good night” and smiled at us. She knew full well that we were gay and on a date. It was really cute. Then Kyle and I went back to the car to eat the ice cream, where he opened the door again for me. I tasted his ice cream and he tasted mine. I wasn’t impressed with the key lime; it seemed to be an acquired taste. Then we talked a bit more and decided to go to dinner, Outback.
We went up to exit 14, all the while I was holding his hand and telling him how much I love him. We get to Outback and talk a bit more, decide against dinner because we only have 2 hours left before I have to be home so he can get home on time, so we start back towards home and stop in the Kroger parking lot again.
When we get there we do the same thing as in the park: look into each other’s eyes and profess our love. We kiss and make out yet again. But this time I was ready for a bit more. I put my hand on his thigh and worked to “Kyle Jr.” and asked him 3 times if that was alright. I wanted to really make sure he was okay with it. Then he put his hand on “Sean Jr.” and we were having some fun. We got caught in the moment and were very passionately kissing. Ya know the kind where there is some panting and such? Yeah, those!

I looked at my watch and noticed it was 10:20p and I needed to get dropped off so he could get home on time. So we left and the whole way back to my house I was holding his hand and lying on his arm. Even a few times while driving we leaned over and kissed me. He also told me that he knows I am the one for him, and I agreed that he is the one for me.
We got to my house; he turned off his head lights as not to freak out the dog. He gets out of the car, and comes and opens my door! I get my coat and crutches from the back and we just stand there holding each other and kissing. Then I grab his ass, lol. We walk, arm in arm, to my front porch. There we talk a bit more, professing out love, and kissing, It took a while to finally let him go. I would keep pulling him back for another kiss, and then when I was going to let him go he would do the same to me. After about 10 or 15 mins I let him go. I unlocked the door, my Mom peaked her head from the couch, asked “are you alone?” I said yes. Then she sat up and said “tell me all about it.” So I did, except the hand job, lol.
So that was my date in its entirety. By far, the best day EVER!
