In Absentia
Yes yes, Long time no see.
It's been nearly 2 months since my last update I think, and so far things have been quite good.
We recorded our demo with David at Thelmas and it came out sounding very very good for only 7 hours in the studio. Our NEW site (www.swu073.com) should be up soon. We have a gig on the 22nd at the NEW Meow Meow. I went to go see David's band (www.paper-or-plastic.com) Paper or Plastic on Friday there. It's in the old B Complex building, although they have remodeled it. I now have a job. I'm David's "Booking Manager" for his studio, The A Room Studio (www.thearoomstudio.com). My god it's easy. I talk to people on the phone and email about David's services and sign them up for mastering, mixing, etc. I make 10% of whatever he makes. Sweet deal. We've got Finals this coming week, but I feel very confident about it, which is good. I want to do well on all of them, but I need to do well on the History final due to the fact that it has a big effect on our grade. I've been in good spirits lately. I've got good friends, which is a big plus. Hopefully this summer we will record our album at David's studio and master it in New York, then release it through his label Pacific Records (www.pacificrecords.net). I recently got a new bass amp and it is godly. Eden Nemesis 1x15 200 Watt. We've written some new stuff which is very good and hope that people will come check us out on Thursday or come to our other gigs down the road.
