back, my achy break back . . . I suspect that I've passed my test, but I won't know until Tuesday.
High points and low points (with apolgies in advance to non-martial artists):
hurling Ed the width of the mat using uke otoshi.
putting Chris into a rear-mount figure-4 leg lock and making him tap out.
getting a "Perfect" out of Billy on my gyaku te seoi technique.
throwing Billy in a near-perfect hachi mawashi throw. He bounced twice.
hitting Stephen Roundtree with a perfect hammerfist to the lower ribs.
realizing that I'd hit him far too hard when he sits down and almost throws up.
freezing with terror when Sensei asks me to demonstrate bo Kata 1, which he told me I didn't have to know for this test.
Lauging with relief when he said I could demonstrate cane techniques instead.
demonstrating my cane techniques on Richard when he says "What have you got?"
that's about all the points I remember at this point. I'm tired, I'm sweaty and I smell like a locker room.
