I swear I'm going to dub this summer the Summer of Change. I could list all the massive changes that have occurred (in my life and those of others) but quite frankly that's an enormous list that I don't care to compile. The short version? Chris moving, Trin moving, Gonzo moving, Atari graduating and moving, Ross moving, Michal leaving, Christine with 2 babies, Michal with a baby, Brian graduating and moving, my Heather is away . . .
I had my last meeting with my current counselor yesterday. I'd like to put some nicely crafted wordage here that puts everyone in mind of the person they went and relied upon when they needed help very badly, but my skills in that department are sadly lacking. For what it's worth, though, I'll miss Michal. She is a good counselor and helped me a great deal.
I find that I drink more when Heather's not here. Of course, I clean more when she's not here, too. And the cat wakes me up more at 6 am when I got to bed at 3 after driving home. This kind of thing enrages me (as it would any normal human being) to no end. The ONLY reason I have not turned that cat into a stand-alone bagpipes today is because if I did, my girl would do things to me with a spork that can only be described as both hideously eldritch and nauseatingly traumatizing.
