Back from the Northeast
Back from Rhode Island, which was good times for the kids. I find it absolutely unfair that Wendy's kids seem to get cuter every time we visit, which makes it that much harder to leave. Josie is only going to be in this cute little kid stage for a little while longer, and eventually she'll be 5 and have no interest in us anymore. Jenna's going to be 9 in October and she's already ridiculously grown up. *sigh* Who said they could grow up anyway?
On the whole, the trip was a lot of fun. We went to P-town which was less exciting than I had hoped, but it was better than sitting around doing nothing all day. We went to the beach which was great. They have a beautiful beach if you get past the fact that the water is FREAKING FREEZING! Seriously, ocean water at 69 degrees, you might as well swim in an ice bath. It's insane. We played Scene It and Trivial Pursuit for a while. That's cool because we don't usually have people to play those things with when we are here at home. All in all it was just good to be around friends who we don't see often and miss when they're not around. Plus I got to see my girls so yay!
On the home front, Jason got a job! YAY!! Ok, so it's only through October with a temp service, but they said it could be extended depending on how he works out. At this point all I care about is that temporary money is better than no money. Things are looking up. Anyway, I think that's pretty much all there is to say for now.
