Hey Santa, Thanks Man!

I hope everyone had a great holiday. Mine is always nuts having to bounce between three houses on Christmas Day. We mixed things up this year and did gifts with Jason's family first thing in the morning since we live with his mom this Christmas. That meant that at 7 a.m. we did presents here, then 9:30 was gifts with my family and then 4:30 it was dinner and gifts with Jason's grandparents. It makes for a loooong day. We got a lot of amazing gifts this year though, and more importantly we got to spend both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our families without cutting anything short because neither of us were working in retail so we didn't have to work late Christmas Eve or get up early on the day after Christmas. If you've never worked retail management, you have no idea how priceless that really is. As for gifts, we got all kinds of stuff. Jason and I think too much alike, since we got each other iPods, and he got me a very pretty white gold and tanzanite necklace. I got him WAY too much. He got a bunch of Harry Potter movie collectibles. I got him Lucius Malfoy's walking stick complete with wand that pulls out of the top, a TriWizard cup replica, a Sorting Hat pen holder and all of the house pens, a set of Harry Potter house crest orniments, and a scarf. Sometimes I can't stop myself at Christmas. From various family members I got a great red peacoat, kermit pajamas and slippers, a Kermit desk set, a bunch of clothes, a few DVDs and a box of crayons which is really silly but I was excited. I like to color, because I'm a cheezeball. Jason got clothes, a bunch of DVDs, a video game, a VCR which seems useless but we have a bunch of home movies that are on VHS and can't watch them without the VCR, a DVD burner so we can take the VHS and put them onto DVDs, a really nice set of power tools, a drill bit set, an Atari set that has all of the original games built into it and some other stuff that I can't remember. I was more excited about giving him all of his gifts than to open any of mine. I love making other people happy with Christmas gifts. It's way better than opening my own things.

This week I look forward to working only 4 days since I got a holiday today. Yay! Then on Saturday it's the Masquerade Ball at the Roberts' house for New Years. They throw the coolest parties! I looove having an excuse to put on formal wear, and themed parties are awesome. I'm waiting for my masks to come in from California so that I have one that matches my dress. It should be a lot of fun. So anyway, if I don't update any time soon because I'm lazy, have a happy new year everyone!
