For the past 3 weeks Jason and I have been working on painting pracically every wall upstairs in our house. We've also painted the ceiling, replaced all of the outlets because they were original to the house which was built in 1970 and would no longer actually hold plugs. We replaced the light switches from regular switches to flat panel switches, and then replaced all of the switch covers and outlet covers. So last night we went to Lowes to pick up one more gallon of ceiling paint so that we could touch up some spots, and somehow we ended up walking out with 5 boxes of laminant wood flooring for our kitchen. It was on sale, and since the linoleum was also original to the house and covered in cigarette burns from the previous owner we decided to cover that crap up. The linoleum was nasty and made the whole room look disgusting. So anyway, long story short, Jason and I stayed up until 1 a.m. laying a wood floor in our kitchen. We finished up this morning putting the trim around the base of the walls and seriously.....we did awesome work. You'd never know it was the same room. It's absolutely worth it, but I really wish it wasn't so exhausting to constantly work on this stuff. I think I'm going to take next weekend off. If you could see my house, you'd totally agree that I deserve it.
