A short essay about attractiveness

I believe I've mentioned before that your typical image of Matt Smith himself doesn't necessarily do a lot for me. There are notable exceptions, like that set for GQ I think it was, where he's in this blue suit with a moiré silk jacket, leaning against these vertical planks with little shelves attached to them in random places which serve no purpose that I can discern other than the attractive draping of persons. Well, that's a good purpose, in the circumstances, so who am I to complain.

Now. See this? It's the cover of the current Gay Times, with a feature about the upcoming Christopher And His Kind in it.

I've spent quite a lot of time since I saw this yesterday making incoherent noises. Seriously. I realise that the purpose of this cover image is to look tantalisingly attractive, that they will have chosen the image that best does this, that it will have been altered to maximise the effect, for example quite possibly something around the shading on his leg there, the line of shadow under the muscle... But still. They have done their job bloody well. And this is still technically not a picture of Matt Smith, of course; it's another character. One who spends more time wearing fewer clothes (or, well, a variety of vintage clothes interspersed with fewer clothes, I expect, or possibly I hope; either way I'm bloody looking forward to watching this thing when it comes out) than the Doctor, but that's still an aspect of the body that we're working with when writing porn with Eleven in it.

So. The question is, having seen this, why aren't you (yes, YOU) writing Eleven porn right now?
